Continuing Professional Education Services, Inc. (“CPES,” “we,” “our,” “us”) is a New Jersey–based nonprofit that provides environmental and professional‐development training. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard information when you visit https://www.cpesnj.com (the “Site”) or use any content, features or other services offered through the Site (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Site or Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your Personal Information. We may share it only:

  • Service Providers. With trusted vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processing, e-mail distribution, web-hosting, analytics). They may use the data solely to provide those services and must protect it.
  • Event Partners & Accrediting Bodies. If you enroll in a course jointly offered with another organization or require verification of CE credits, we may share only the data necessary to confirm attendance and credentialing.
  • Legal & Safety. Where required by law, court order or to protect CPES, our users or the public.
  • Business Transfers. In the unlikely event of a merger, dissolution or similar transaction, subject to confidentiality commitments.

We use cookies, pixel tags and session-replay tools to understand how visitors use our Site, remember your preferences, and improve the user experience. You may disable cookies in your browser; however, some Site features may not function properly. We also use Google Analytics; you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Email & Text Communication

You can opt out of CPES marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in the message footer or contacting us at info@cpesnj.com. Transactional or service-related messages (e.g., receipts, schedule changes) are not marketing and you may still receive them. If you join our SMS program, we will use your mobile number solely to deliver the requested messages; you may reply STOP to cancel.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Access / Correction. You may request a copy of, or correction to, your Personal Information by contacting us.
  • Deletion. You may ask us to delete your information where legally permissible; certain data (e.g., donation records) may need to be retained for tax or accreditation purposes.
  • Do-Not-Track Signals. Our Site does not currently respond to browser DNT signals.

Residents of certain jurisdictions (e.g., California, Canada) may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We will honor all applicable legal requests.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100 % secure; therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.

International Users

CPES is located in the United States. By using the Site or Services, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S., which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post the revised version with a new “Last revised” date. Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
